SoldMembers of the Pearce family have stepped forward to help Larry Wilson’s L&L Broadcasting deal with a station overage on the South Carolina-Georgia coast by taking WGZO-FM Parris Island SC off of Wilson’s hands.

G. Dean Pearce, Houston R. Pearce and Voncile R. Pearce are the principals of buyer Apex Broadcasting.

They will be picking up the station for $450K cash.

As part of the deal, L&L must lease studio and tower space to the buyer by mutually acceptable agreement.

WGZO-FM is a Class C3 on 103.1n MHz with 11 kW @ 377’.

Apex has four FMs and an AM up the coast in Charleston, but that cluster is well north of WGZO’s coverage area. The station serves Hilton Head Island SC and also serves a portion of the Savannah GA market.

The deal was brokered by Eddie Esserman of Media Services Group.
