LongHorn Steakhouse began airing new television commercials as part of the company’s new "Discover the West in You" campaign. Developed by the company’s agency partner, GREY New York, the initial ads use animated illustrations to promote the values of the American West. This first set of ads will run through the end of April. The campaign is the first from LongHorn since being acquired by Darden Restaurants 18 months ago.
The "Discover the West in You" campaign seeks to reinforce LongHorn’s genuine western hospitality and other western values that have resonated so well with guests. The ideals of the American West such as simplicity, individuality and freedom are represented through the unique use of animation in the ads.
"We’re confident that these commercials will stand out from others in our segment and truly engage our guests," said Joel Bulger, Senior Director of Brand Marketing for LongHorn. "The result is a campaign that is unlike anything in the industry today."
In the coming months, LongHorn will be incorporating these ideals of the American West into other components like menu design, in-restaurant materials, print and outdoor.
