Loose end session likely at FCC December meet-up

The clock is running out on FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, as well as on the run-up to the DTV transition. Look for a wide range of issues on the next Open Meeting agenda. It won’t be all broadcasting by any means – look for ubiquitous free wireless broadband to be on agenda; look for more on the battle between cable operators and independent programmers; DTV issues such as the provision for stopgap contour remedies for stations whose DTV signals lose terrain compared to their old analog signals and for other DTV-related items. Martin will meet the press today to discuss.
