Wall Street was not pleased by an unexpected drop in the Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index. The Dow Industrials fell 47 points, or 0.5%, to 9,742. Media stocks, however, were helped by Gannett raising its Q3 guidance. The stock rose 17.6%. It was only due to a big drop by volatile ACME that the TVBR Television Index was down for the day.
The RBR Radio Index gained 1.898, or 1.6%, to 118.972.
The TVBR Television Index declined 5.183, or 4.4%, to 113.484.
