LPTV gets a platform at NAB 2015

ATBA1The case for the low power television and TV translator communities will be made at the April NAB convention in Las Vegas. Hosting an event called LPTV Day will be the Advanced Television Broadcast Alliance.


The event is scheduled for 4/13/15.

ATBA will be events of interest to LPTV and translator operators, including seminars and workshops, and will also be handing out awards at an LPTV reception held at the Westgate Las Vegas.

“We are excited to continue partnering with the ATBA, which brings incredible knowledge of the LPTV and translator industries as well as robust advocacy for the issues that matter most to those communities,” says Rick Kaplan, NAB Executive Vice President. “LPTVs and translators are critical pieces to the broadcast industry as a whole and deserve to be highlighted and championed at this critical time.”

“The Advanced Television Broadcast Alliance continues to promote the protection and advancement of both low-power stations and translators,” says Louis Libin, ATBA Executive Director. “The National Association of Broadcasters is an important ally working to preserve and promote the efficient and effective use of all television broadcast spectrum.”
