LPTV vs Google, et al


LPTVMike Gravino, Director, LPTV Spectrum Rights Coalition, just submitted this into the spectrum auction proceedings.  They are challenging the Google initiative for more TV channels being repurposed for unlicensed.  We heard through the grapevine the FCC may go with a 17-MHz guard band for unlicensed, which could wipe out over 600 LPTV channel assignments: 17-MHz = 3 x 6-MHz TV channels; 210 TV markets x 3 = 630 LPTV channels.
