Lucrative Potential From Characters With Disabilities

A new study from the Ruderman Family Foundation — a Boston-based organization advocating rights of people with disabilities — has found that viewers prefer to see characters portrayed with disabilities played by actors who have those disabilities. And the study — titled “Disability Inclusion in Movies and Television” — shows that there’s a lot of money being left on the table by not doing this. And the numbers are big.
