Majority stake in Kentucky FM sold

WXBC-FM calls itself The Voice of Breckinridge County, and soon the pile of station shares with the biggest of ten voices will be changing hands. The station is licensed to Hardinsburg.


The ownership lineup Breckinridge Broadcasting Company Inc. includes nine shareholders with 10 shares apiece out of a total of 200, or a 5% stake.

The big pile of shares, 110 representing 55% of the company, belong to Jo Ann Keenan at the moment, but they are being sold to Lee Bramlett, who is not among the other nine, who remain on the shareholder list.

The price is $900K, which will mostly paid over time. The contract calls for $25K in earnest money, $65K cash and an $810K note.

WXBC is a Class A country station on 104.3 MHz with 2.3 kW @ 377’. It serves an unrated portion of Kentucky to the southwest of Louisville.
