Mako Completes Eastern Washington LPTV CP Spin

Mako Communications attracted the attention of a variety of buyers for a collection of low-power TV station construction permits that hold a 2023 deadline for build-out.


One buyer is a Hispanic-focused broadcast ministry with a number of television stations across the Pacific Northwest. And, it has just closed on its transaction in the Yakima and Tri-Cities, Wash., market.

With Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group serving as the seller’s broker, Mako has completed its spin of K28QL and K23PG, each licensed to Yakima, Wash.

The buyer is Iglesia Pentecostal Víspera Del Fin, based in Seattle, has agreed to purchase K28QL and K23PG, each licensed to Yakima, Wash.

It’s a $50,000 transaction, with a $10,000 deposit previously paid to Mako by the church.

The Iglesia is led by President Arturo Gonzalez.
