Emmy award winning television journalist Maria Celeste Arrarás is joining GLR Networks to host daily radio segments that address Hispanic women issues: relationships, current trends, health, lifestyle, fashion, travel, entertainment, home décor, aspirations and controversial issues, among others.
“We are delighted to have this huge international star and first-rate journalist to come on board. We look forward to developing additional programming opportunities for her to reach Spanish-speaking audiences across the country.” said Jimmy Perez, Programming Director of GLR.
María Celeste Arrarás is the host and managing editor of “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste” (Red Hot Live with Maria Celeste), produced by Telemundo/NBC. She is one of the most trusted media personalities of Hispanic television who has also successfully crossed over into the English-language market. She is a guest host for NBC’s Today show and has collaborated with Dateline and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. She is also the bestselling author of “Selena’s Secret”, “The Magic Cane” and “Make Your Life Prime Time”. She has been featured on the cover of People en Español more times than any other celebrity and was selected by Newsweek magazine to appear on the cover of its “20 Most Powerful Women of the Next Generation” issue.
“I’ve always believed that radio offers a personal, intimate and unique opportunity to communicate with people so it is the perfect forum to speak to other women. I’m delighted to be part of this project focused specifically on Hispanic women. Information is power and our goal is to empower women,” said Maria Celeste.
