Evidence of economic improvement around the globe encouraged stock traders on Thursday, although there was still caution about US jobs numbers due out on Good Friday, when US markets will be closed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 70 points, or 0.7%, to 10,927. Broadcasting stocks were mixed, with radio down and TV up.
The RBR Radio Index was down 1.081, or 0.4%, to 260.124.
The TVBR Television Index was up 5.000, or 3%, to 169.474.
US stock markets will be closed Friday, April 2, in observance of Good Friday.
