Ed MarkeyA pair of prominent Boston radio outlets carried questions posed by the campaign of Rep. Edward Markey (D-MA) concerning his rival Rep. Gabriel Gomez (R-MA) as they face-off in a special election to fill the seat of now-Secretary of State John Kerry.

The chief beneficiaries of the campaign, according to The Hill, were CBS’s WBZ-AM and Entercom’s WEEI-FM. Both were said to have filled orders to run the 60-second spot 16 times each during the course of Wednesday 6/5/13.

The flight, which underscored points the Markey campaign has been stressing during the course of the campaign, is running in advance of the 6/25/13 poll date, and more to the point, just before a scheduled debate between the two.

WBZ-AM is also carrying the debate along with sister station WBZ-TV.
