Even before the results were known, Wall Street investors were betting that Massachusetts voters would elect a Republican Senator and put the brakes on President Obama’s healthcare reform efforts. That boosted stock prices on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 116 points, or 1.1%, to 10,725. Broadcast stocks rose with the market.
The RBR Radio Index was up 4.877, or 2.3%, to 213.246.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.412, or 0.3%, to 142.226.
