Broadcast TV Sales Can Thrive With Local Commitment

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. — When one thinks about where the broadcast media business is headed, Matrix Solutions CEO Mark Gorman can’t get over the data that show Amazon, Facebook and Google absorbing 51% of all ad revenue in the U.S.


Where are the nation’s broadcast TV companies headed in the next decade? Could consolidation be possible? Will new television station licensees emerge?

Those questions were posed by Gorman to two notable corporate sales leaders representing two of the biggest over-the-air TV station owners as the 2022 Media Ad Sales Summit, rescheduled from January, kicked off as Hurricane Nicole’s wrath was limited to flooding and sand blown onto A1A in front of the Conrad Hotel, host to the Matrix-organized event.
