The Birmingham, MI office of McCann Worldgroup has picked up the new $4 million statewide effort by Lansing-based Michigan Credit Union League. The radio and television campaign began 6/8. The tagline is “Own Your Money. Join a Credit Union” and touts the advantages of a credit union, reports Crain’s Detroit Business.
A second wave of commercials will air in the fall, the league said in a statement.
The organization represents Michigan’s 335 credit unions and operates as a regulatory compliance, lobbying, media advocacy and information clearinghouse.
McCann is GM’s largest global agency. It also handles GM’s corporate work and retail advertising, such as employee discounts, along with Sirius XM satellite radio and Saab.
The agency has hired about 150 people in recent months, bringing headcount to about 400. The office is believed to generate about $50 million annually in revenue.
