Moody’s gave a rousing round of applause to newspaper group The McClatchy Company as only it can – rewarding it with an improved outlook based on a significant debt repurchase. That does not mean the company is out of the woods, however.
The company’s sale of its stake in a pair of dot-coms produced the cash necessary for the debt move.
