McGavren Guild Media expands LA office

McGavren Guild Media is beefing up operations on the West Coast. CEO Lisa Sonnenklar tells RBR-TVBR these changes are due to the fact that the company continues to grow, “and we need to make sure that we employ the best people in the business.  As we continue to add radio stations to our platform we need to make sure our people are in the best position to succeed and these latest moves put us in that position.”

The expansion includes bringing on Mark Osborne as VP, Director of Sales at the LA office. The company also hired Chris Pollock as Account Executive there and has upped Karen Jakubiec from AE to VP/Sales.

Osborne was previously VP, Interactive Marketing/Sales Manager for Cardinal Webb Solutions, and was previously Local Sales Manager with Clear Channel in Atlanta, Triton Media and McGavren Guild Radio in LA, Atlanta and Miami.

Pollock was Entertainment Sales Manager at Westwood One in LA and before that spent four years as National Sales Manager for ABC/Citadel Radio at KLOS/KABC LA. He also worked with Cumulus as National Sales Manager with McGavren Guild Radio.

McGavren Guild Media now reps 535 stations in some 162 markets.

RBR-TVBR observation: A good reason for this move could be to superserve their Spanish Broadcasting System client. There are a lot of spot dollars coming out of LA that are bought for their stations nationwide. Osborne had been working on Hispanic business before as well.
