Another example for OTA broadcasters to strut their stuff: Cool Music Network’s TheCoolTV will be carried on three McGraw-Hill Broadcasting stations, in Bakersfield  (KERO-TV) San Diego (KGTV-TV) and Denver  (KMGH-TV). The addition of the three stations brings an additional 2.8 million TV households to TheCoolTV (www.thecooltv.com), bringing its total coverage to more than 40 million households.

The 24/7 music television network produces, acquires and distributes entertainment content across multiple platforms, from TV and the web to live concert venues and mobile devices. It describes itself as a “hyper-localized” and customizable music channel that reflects the tastes of the local music scene and viewer demos.  TheCoolTV’s video vault includes conceptual videos, live concert footage, interviews, etc. supplied by major and independent record labels, established and local artists and content providers.

“We are pleased to be joining the TheCoolTV network and providing a localized music entertainment service for audiences in San Diego, Denver and Bakersfield,” said Mark Limbach, VP Strategy and Group Controller of McGraw-Hill.  “TheCoolTV is an ideal product for our multi-cast spectrum and the mobile DTV model.”
