Media is part of the conversation on guns, violence


Vice President Joe Biden is leading the White House effort on gun control and related matters in the wake of the shootings at Sandy Hook in Newtown CT – and one aspect of the process will be a meeting between the VP and representatives from the communications industry.

According to The Hill, the list of participants includes:

National Association of Broadcasters: Gordon Smith
National Cable and Telecommunications Association: Michael Powell
Comcast/NBCU: David Cohen
National Association of Theatre Owners: John Fithian
Motion Picture Association of America: Chris Dodd

Representatives from the video game industry will also meet with the VP at another time.
