Discounting iHeartRadio ads, many of which air only on iHeart stations and therefore cannot be viewed in the same way as paid ads from clients, GEICO is the top advertiser — dominating with 43,100 plays. The Home Depot is present at No. 3, with 26,780 spot plays.
Still, the Spot Ten Radio report for the week ending August 12 is revealing in that iHeart’s 72,730 spots for its annual music festival demonstrate its ability and desire to actively promote an event across iHeart’s stations.
The company with debtor-in-possession status desires to have the iHeart Music Festival become an event with similar stature to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
