Media Stocks On The Rebound

The week on Wall Street started off in a largely positive manner for media issues, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 2% in the final 30 minutes of trading on Monday.


While Entercom was 2% at the Closing Bell with a 20 cent drop to $9.85, all other radio and TV companies tracked by RBR+TVBR were up.

Beasley Broadcasting Group was ahead 65 cents, to $12.65, as investors expressed pleasure with the company’s Q4 2017 earnings results.

Gray Television improved 15 cents, to $15.15, on news that it is purchasing the MyNetwork TV affiliate in Grand Forks, N. Dakota.

Nexstar rebounded with a $2.25 gain, to $73.30, while Townsquare Media was up 13 cents to $6.78.
