Howard Price, CBCP, Dir., Business Continuity & Crisis Management, ABC News, has just put up (, his free website dedicated to the exchange of best practices to better protect broadcast assets, and the people employed by them. The debut of the new site coincides with National Preparedness Month.

The site is built in Flash, and features a raft of historic audio. Check out the jukebox on the homepage which features, among other airchecks, Lee Harris’s iconic 9/11 newscast. Lee is the longtime morning news anchor at CBS-owned 1010 WINS NYC. Mouse over the VU bars at the lower-right of the homepage, and use the FF symbol to move through the audio library. In the video library, view a large selection of clips illustrating some of the very bad things that can befall televi

sion and radio stations. You’ll thank your lucky stars these things didn’t happen while you were on the air.

He’ll be posting his preparedness checklists – and lots of other helpful and interesting content as well. Howard also invites readers to subscribe to @mediadisaster on Twitter, the page on Facebook and his blog at
