Taking the job? An individual who most recently led sales for TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate KUSA-9 in Denver who spent 10 years at the ad sales division of Charter Communications.

Joe Donnarumma will oversee all aspects of station operations for “Univision Arizona.”

He succeeds Alejandra Santamaría. She now leads sales for Univision’s Los Angeles media properties, in a return to Southern California for Santamaría that occurred in June 2019.

Donnarumma’s duties encompass all of Univision’s media properties in the Grand Canyon State. This includes Univision O&O KTVW-33 in Phoenix, with UniMás programming on the station’s DT-2 signal; UniMás KFPH-13 in Phoenix; and Univision KUVE-42 in Tucson;

It also includes Uforia radio properties KHOT-FM “Univision Deportes Radio,” regional Mexican KHOV-FM “Qué Buena,” KOMR-FM “Amor 106.3,” and KQMR-FM 100.3 “Latino Mix.”

Donnarumma has no radio background, according to his LinkedIn profile.

From January 2004-February 2014, he was at Charter, starting as a LSM before becoming GSM for the West Coast and Nevada.

He then went to West Palm Beach, taking a role at Comcast Spotlight as Florida Director of Automotive Advertising Sales and Business Development.

In May 2017, Donnarumma relocated to Charlotte, taking the job of Director of Sales for WCNC-TV. He moved to Denver for the KUSA role in November 2018.

Now, Donnarumma will be based in Phoenix. He reports to President and Regional General Manager Luis Fernandez-Rocha.
