Journal Broadcast’s Mega 106.3 9th Annual “Shoes for School” kicks off this week to gather shoes for children in Tucson. Mega 106.3, along with community partner Payless Shoes, will be collecting shoes until 8/8. Collection boxes will be located at all local Payless Shoes locations to make drop offs easy, and Payless Shoes is giving a 20% discount on any shoes purchased for the program.
“Hundreds of children in the Tucson area whose families would not otherwise be able to get them shoes for the school year are provided new shoes thanks to the generosity of our listeners and sponsors,” shared Ken Carr, program director of Mega 106.3. “While we wish there wasn’t such a need in our community, we’re glad we can help by holding another Shoes For School drive.”
