The Westenberger family has closed on its third AM in the Memphis market. The Christian broadcaster has added KQPN, which had been broadcasting a Sports format on 730 kHz.

The deal in Arbitron market #49 carried a price tag of $400,000, paid in cash. The seller was Simmons Media Group.

KQPN, licensed to West Memphis, AR, joins WMQM-AM Lakeland, TN and WLRM-AM Millington, AR in the Westenberger Memphis cluster.

Dual brokers on the deal were Larry Patrick and Greg Guy of Patrick Communications for the seller and John Pierce of John Pierce & Company for the buyer.
