Mendte gets house arrest

The strange case of Larry Mendte has resulted in the former KYW-TV Philadelphia anchor being sentenced to six months of house arrest by a federal judge. He also received three years probation, a $5,000 fine and was ordered to perform 250 hours of community service. Mendte had pleaded guilty to hacking into the email accounts of former colleague Alycia Lane and passing details of personal emails to newspaper gossip writers.
