Metro finds better frequency for DC FM simulcast

Broadcast TowerW240BH-LP 106.3 is Metro Radio’s new simulcast of Regional Mexican La Ley, WKDV-AM Manassas, VA. W240BH is licensed to the suburban DC town of Gainesville, VA with 80 watts and a 235-ft antenna. Metro had been using the 95.9 frequency from the same tower, but it was causing interference to Classic Hits WGRQ-FM Fredericksburg and its own coverage was limited because of WGRQ as well. The new signal has a much better coverage map in the DC suburbs of Virginia and part of Maryland.

W240BH is the third Spanish language FMer in the DC market, which also includes CBS Radio’s El Zol, WLZL-FM Annapolis, MD and La Nueva, WDCN-LP Fairfax, VA.

  1. It is very sad that this Spanish crap is broadcast in the United States. English is the language of success.
