LPTVKVFW-LD Fort Worth TX is being sold to a company which brings China into the ownership mix – comfortably below the FCC’s limit on foreign investment. Brokerage Kalil & Co. is holding the escrow and represented the buyer.


The seller is Gerald Benavides. The buyer is New York Spectrum Holding Company LLC.

The station serves its portion of the Dallas-Fort Worth DMA on Channel 38.

The price for the station will be $1.05M, with $52.5K going into escrow and the full amount payable in cash at closing.

The domestic stakeholders of the buyer include Charles Naumer (40%), Kevin O’Halloran (20%) and Hiu Lui (20%).

CMMB America LLC holds the other 20%, and traces back to China; on the organizational chart, it’s listed under CMMB Vision Holdings Company, which is listed under Chi-Capital, which is listed under Chinese national Chau-Chi (Charles) Wong.
