Media General just recently was able to announce the sale of its ABC WTVQ-FM Lexington KY to Morris Multimedia. It now is trumpeting the sale of two more of its on-the-block properties. WMBB-TV Panama City FL (ABC) and KALB-TV/NALB Alexandria LA (NBC/CBS) are now subject of a definitive agreement under terms of which they will be headed to Hoak Media Corporation. For Hoak, it will take its portfolio of owned, operated or programmed television stations to 24, with network affiliates in Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Louisiana and Florida. For Media General, it whittles down its for-sale inventory to just two stations: WCWJ-TV Jacksonville FL (CW); and WNEG-TV Toccoa GA (Indy, satellite of WSPA-TV Spartanburg SC). The price of the Hoak sale was not immediately available.
