Longtime Michigan Broadcaster Liggett Dies

1

Twenty years ago, Bob Liggett was honored with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor came in tribute to his company’s ownership of radio stations across the state, in addition to his 10 years as the owner of the Grosse Pointe News, his stewardship of a famed eatery chain, and as founder of the Speed Connect wireless internet network.

Today, broadcasters from across America are paying tribute to the individual who ran Liggett Broadcasting Group, as Liggett passed away Friday at the age of 76.
