The “53rd Annual Grammy Awards” will air Sunday, February 13th on CBS. Believe it or not, the broadcast will feature the first ever live performance on the Grammy stage by Mick Jagger.

Jagger will be accompanied by soul singer Saadiq and his band in honor one of his longtime idols, recently deceased Grammy winner Solomon Burke. Jagger has appeared only once before on the Grammy telecast. But that appearance with the Rolling Stones in 1986 was via satellite from London. At that time Eric Clapton presented the Stones with The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS Sunday, February 13th, live 8:00-11:30 (or so) pm ET and tape delayed in the same time slot PT. The broadcast is produced by John Cossette Productions and AEG Ehrlich Ventures for The Recording Academy.  Ken Ehrlich and John Cossette are executive producers, Louis J. Horvitz is director, and David Wild and Ken Ehrlich are the writers.
