Millennium Sales & Marketing, a division of the Katz Television Group, today announced that it began representing Peachtree TV/WPCH-TV in Atlanta, one of the strongest independent stations in the country and was the original Atlanta “Superstation” that started it all with Turner and cable. Peachtree TV is Turner Broadcasting System’s local Atlanta broadcast platform. Driven by an Atlanta-centric, hyper-local sensibility, the channel features nightly blockbuster prime-time movies and a daytime line-up packed with popular sitcoms targeted to Atlanta’s local audience. In addition, Peachtree TV airs Atlanta Braves baseball games, as well as other special Atlanta-based programming and events.

Originally launched in the 1980’s, Turner Broadcasting changed the call letters from WTBS-TV to WPCH-TV in October 2007 after it was rebranded as Peachtree TV. The network name pays honor to Atlanta’s main corridor Peachtree Street.
