LOS ANGELES — Spanish-language audio prep service MLC Media, which represents radio stations serving U.S. Hispanics and stations in Mexico, has acquired creative audio production and imaging house Intercambio Media and its subsidiaries.
No price was disclosed on the purchase, which gives the Carlos Moncada-led MLC control of En El Aire Audio, Fuxion Audio, Extreme Noticias, and Audios 2Go.
With the partnership, the total number of Spanish-language radio stations under MLC Media will grow from 350 to 600 stations. MLC says this makes it the largest audio prep and imaging service company serving the U.S. Hispanic market.
Moncada said, “David Bello has done an amazing job of growing Intercambio, and now together with MLC capabilities we can continue our growth with his direction as part of our stellar affiliate team.”
Bello added, “I believe together we can build a network of radio stations, podcasting, web sites and social media followers that can lead the industry for years to come.”
MLC Media Services produces and distributes a host of syndicated Spanish-language radio programs across the U.S. and Mexico, including El Show de Alex ‘El Genio’ Lucas and recent acquisition El Show de Chiquibaby.
