Few brands have been as committed to the use of broadcast and cable TV, and radio, to reach consumers as the Government Employees Insurance Co., better known as GEICO.
For the week ending February 17, GEICO’s use of spot cable to build its brand awareness, and sales, was nearly double that of the No. 2 user of spot cable.
According to the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Cable report, GEICO is No. 1 with a whopping 69,137 play count detections.
That compares to No. 2 Liberty Mutual Insurance, with some 35,692 spots.
Progressive is No. 3 in the category and No. 5 overall, with 31,958 spots.
QSRs Taco Bell and Burger King are also in the top 5, but well behind GEICO.
