A Big Push Puts The Home Depot Back Toward Radio’s Spot Top

There’s a challenger to a big auto insurance brand for spot supremacy at broadcast radio, the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Radio report indicates.

It doesn’t involve GEICO, and the challenger is one of the nation’s biggest advertisers.

Taking the top spot for the week ending February 9 is Progressive, thanks to nearly 50,000 spot plays.

But, right behind it is a renewed effort at radio from The Home Depot, putting it solidly at No. 2 with some 47,697 spins.

The remainder of this week’s Spot Ten report includes L’Oreal, Vicks and a retailer where one can find both brands — Walgreens.
