MMG expands, picks up “The Pet Show”

Media Management Group announced its latest expansion, in the form of a new MMG Radio Network division. The network’s inaugural show, Warren Eckstein’s “The Pet Show,” launched 4/6 on more than 100 affiliates. Warren’s Pet Tip can be also heard daily on more than 200 stations.


The Pet Show, weekend staple for over 23 years, airs across the US and Canada. Eckstein is an internationally known pet behaviorist and animal expert who has worked with more than 40,000 pets, including those of celebs like David Letterman, Lily Tomlin, and Al Pacino. He has been the resident Pet Expert for several national TV programs, has been featured in numerous national publications, is the author of six successful books on animal and pet behavior, and founded the not-for-profit “Hugs & Kisses Animal Fund.”

For over 20 years, Media Management Group has services to media personalities and companies including marketing, creative services, ad sales and business development. Now the company is expanding into program production and distribution, with a focus on compelling lifestyle and advice programming.

“From its earliest foray into broadcasting more than 20 years ago, MMG has always believed in the power of lifestyle programming to draw a large audience and generate revenue,” said MMG CEO Jeff Schwartz. “The company has worked successfully with some of the biggest shows in various niches to build their brands, increase cross-platform distribution, and bring in dollars.”

Oversight of The MMG Radio Network will be led by Alan Eisenson, MMG’s EVP of Business Development. Eisenson has a 23-year background programming news/talk radio stations in New York, Denver, Las Vegas and, most recently, Clear Channel’s news/talk properties in Sacramento and San Francisco.

The MMG Radio Network will eventually include 12 hours of programming produced weekly and tailored for stations’ weekend line-ups. The programs will also include a broad roster of digital elements, making them completely customizable for listeners to consume exactly when and how they wish.
