A Regional QSR Steps It Up At Cable

The quick-service restaurant category is ablaze at spot cable, with three of the top five slots occupied by fast food chains.

They have now been joined by a big regional entrant, which debuts at No. 7 in the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Cable report.

Joining national giants including No. 2 McDonald’s and No. 4 Taco Bell is Carl’s Jr.

Across the southeast, this brand is known as Hardee’s.

Together, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s account for 22,890 cable spot plays.

By comparison, No. 5 Burger King had 33,408 spot plays for the week ending Sept. 30.

The QSR leader at spot cable, McDonald’s, had a sizable category lead, with 44,678 plays detected.
