The FCC announced plans for field testing of prototype devices which would operate in television white space to begin the week of July 14th. The tests will take place in various urban, suburban and rural areas in Maryland and even the FCC’s own office building in DC. NAB says it has no objections to field tests, but notes that the devices failed in previous laboratory tests.
