Motel 6 won't air spots on Savage

The Hate Hurts America Community and Interfaith Coalition (HHA) announced that Motel 6, part of the Accor North America chain of hotels, has stopped advertising or refuses to place their ads on Michael Savage’s "Savage Nation" show. HHA, a group of religious and civic orgs seeking to challenge hate speech on talk radio, was formed as a result of Savage’s “rhetorical attacks” on religious and ethnic minorities. Late last year, the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on radio listeners to contact Savage’s advertisers to express their concerns about the host’s anti-Muslim rhetoric. CAIR is a member of HHA.
