Mun2 launches new series

mun2, the bilingual programming network for young Latinos from NBCU’s  Telemundo Cable Networks, announced the debut of its reality show, “The mun2 Hook Up.”  Focusing on the career aspirations of Latino youth, the half-hour series hooks up young Latinos by matching them with top Latino professionals in their industry of choice.  Being faced with challenges that put their true skills to a test and with the guidance of the experts, including celebrities, athletes, rock stars, and influential leaders, these young apprentices explore, and get a new appreciation for the realities behind a successful career.  The mun2 Hook Up airs Wednesday July 30th at 10pm. 


"Today’s generation of young Latinos is extremely aware of their growing role in their culture," says Flavio Morales, VP of Programming at mun2.  "The mun2 Hook Up offers a great opportunity for young Latinos to speak directly to their role models and receive invaluable advice.  Through this new show filled with professional and personal challenges, we hope to empower young Latinos to continue pursuing their dreams."

In anticipation of the on-air premiere, viewers can visit holamun2.com/hookup to watch the complete first episode of The mun2 Hook Up on Tuesday July 29th, one day prior to the on-air premiere.  Every following episode will have a dual-screen premiere, streaming simultaneously on-air and online.

Launching Wednesday July 30th at 10pm, the mun2 Hook Up will be hooking up various ambitious novices with experts including NFL star Tony Gonzalez, ex-La Ley frontman and music superstar Beto Cuevas, top designer Sami Hayek, member of the multi-platinum group The Cheetah Girls Sabrina Bryan and many more.
