UnivisionHispanic broadcasting giant Univision Radio announced the debut of a major music festival series this summer, the H2O Music Festival. The bi-lingual, bi-cultural first festival will take place in Dallas on June 9th in the historic Cotton Bowl, with an additional event to be held in another major market later in the summer.

The Dallas festival lineup includes Juanes, Snoop Dogg, Gym Class Heroes, Weezer, Paulina Rubio, Damian Marley, plus additional acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

MiO has signed on as a primary sponsor at both events. MiO is “a liquid water enhancer that changes water and inspires consumers to shake things up.”

“As today’s bicultural, bilingual Hispanic listeners demand a more varied mix of music, Univision Radio will continue to evolve to meet the needs of its growing audience,” said Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio. “Our H2O Music Festival will showcase the duality of music tastes our listeners crave.”

“We are thrilled to produce the H2O Music Festival and work closely with innovative marketers who are looking for opportunities to engage with today’s youth,” said Jack Hobbs, executive vice president of Sales, Univision Radio. “Savvy brands understand that Hispanic consumers are critical to their business now and in the future.”

The venue inside the Cotton Bowl will feature several rotating stages, with local and emerging artists and some of today’s top names in music. Additional festival events include a vendor village featuring festival and artist merchandise, a lifestyle area, multiple hydration stations, cool down tents, gaming areas, family areas, plus food and beverage, and more. Univision Radio DJs will also be on hand throughout the night to keep the festival’s momentum going. In addition to Univision’s support of the festival series on a national level, Univision television and radio stations in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are supporting the H2O Music Festival.
