MyNetworkTV O&Os to add BounceTV

Bounce TV is on a roll: FOX Television Stations, in partnership with Bounce TV, will premiere FTS’ first digital over the air network on FOX-owned MyNetworkTV multicast channels, including stations in New York and Los Angeles, announced Jack Abernethy, CEO, FOX Television Stations: “We are pleased to allocate our airwaves to provide focused and unique content with an accomplished partner that has a solid business model.”


Bounce TV will provide FTS stations mainstream programming designed for African Americans ages 25-54. The lineup includes a mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original programming and more.

Fox’s MyNetworkTV stations include:
NYC -WWOR (BounceTV on now)
Los Angeles -KCOP (BounceTV on now)
Chicago -WPWR (being considered or in the works)
Dallas – Fort Worth -KDFI (being considered or in the works) 
Washington, D.C. -WDCA (being considered or in the works)
Phoenix -KUTP (being considered or in the works)
Minneapolis – St. Paul W-FTC (being considered or in the works)
Orlando – Daytona Beach -WRBW (being considered or in the works)
Baltimore -WUTB (being considered or in the works)

“With the addition of these FOX markets, Bounce TV will already cover more than 70% of African American households in the United States. We are very grateful to the FOX Television Stations group for enabling Bounce TV to reach our grossly underserved African American community with targeted, culturally relevant and entertaining programming,” said Martin Luther King III, member of Bounce TV’s founding group and board of directors.
 
Bounce just this week signed Gannett’s WUSA-TV DC. It’s also carried by WATL-TV Atlanta. Bounce TV is also cleared in Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Cleveland/Akron, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Hartford/New Haven, Norfolk, Dayton, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, Memphis, Louisville, Richmond, VA, among other cities.

Other groups clearing the network include Raycom Media, LIN TV Corp., Nexstar Communications, Belo Corp. and Meredith Broadcasting. With the addition of DC, the number four African American market in the country, Bounce TV is now seen in four of the top five African American markets.
