NAACP Image Awards gain traction on NBC


Friday Primetime Results:

* From 8-10 p.m. ET, NBC’s coverage of “The 43rd NAACP Image Awards” (0.8/2 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) is up 33 percent versus the event’s year-ago rating in adults 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.6 March 4, 2011 on Fox) and up 28 percent in total viewers (2.957 million vs. 2.318 million).  In total viewers, it’s the top-scoring “NAACP Image Awards” since 2009. 

* At 10 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” reported a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Dateline” grew by 10 percent in 18-49 rating and 8 percent in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.2 million).
