NAB Addresses Fears Of AM Radio’s Future

As part of an 81-page submission of Reply Comments to MB Docket No. 18-349, popularly known as the FCC‘s 2018 Quadrennial Regulatory Review of its broadcast ownership rules, the NAB has much to say about the future of stations in the kHz broadcasting band.


Specifically, the chief lobbying group’s lead counsel explains that the NAB agrees with commenters who are fearful of AM radio’s future. That’s why it believes its proposal “would provide complete relief from restrictions on ownership of AM stations.”
