In conjunction with the FCC, NAB is offering strong participation in today’s DTV test which will demonstrate to analog-only viewers that they are at risk for loss of service on 6/12/09. NAB says all networks and many stations will be on board. The recommended times for the two-to-five minute events are 7:25AM-7:30AM, 12:25PM-12:30PM and 6:25PM-6:30PM, all local time.
“With the transition deadline just three weeks away, this national consumer readiness test seeks to create a sense of urgency for viewers that time is running out,” said Jonathan Collegio, NAB vice president for the DTV transition.”
