NAB to honor Mary Tyler Moore

It wasn’t just broadcasters who loved Mary Tyler Moore as a news producer for fictional WJM-TV Minneapolis – “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” was a hit on CBS for seven years. Moore will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award during the All Industry Opening Keynote on Monday, April 20th at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Moore won seven Emmy Awards over her long career, including two for “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” four for the show that carried her name and one for the TV movie “Stolen Babies.” She currently is International Chairman of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
