NAB Wants Federal Court To Vacate FCC’s 6 GHz Order

The NAB has formally asked a D.C. Federal Appeals Court to vacate the FCC‘s order authorizing unlicensed usage of the 6 GHz spectrum band.

In the petition for review, filed Friday, the nation’s biggest influencer in Washington for broadcast radio and TV argued that the Commission’s order unlawfully fails to protect existing licensed users in the band from potential interference arising from unlicensed operations.

Local radio and television broadcasters use the 6 GHz band for electronic newsgathering operations.
