The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has decided to add two Government Relations VPs, and they will begin in their new roles on Feb. 27.

Named to the positions of VP/Senior Legislative Counsel, Government Relations and VP/Government Relations, respectively, are Nicole Gustafson and Grisella Martinez. Both report to Curtis LeGeyt, who serves as the NAB’s EVP/Government Relations.

“Nicole and Grisella are experienced Capitol Hill staffers who have gained a sophisticated understanding of the legislative process working for influential members of Congress,” NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith said.

Gustafson joins the NAB from the National Football League, where she was VP/Public Policy and Government Affairs. She previously worked for several senior members of Congress, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), former Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), and Sens. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

Martinez served as policy director for the House Democratic Caucus under former Chairman Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.), and is currently Special Advisor to current Chair Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.).

Before joining Rep. Becerra’s staff, she worked for both the National Immigration Law Center and the National Immigration Forum, where she was the director of Policy and Legislative Affairs.
