The National Association of Broadcasters Political Action Committee is calling for funds to aid in the battle against RIAA and imposition of a performance tax by Congress. “Entertainers, many of whose careers were built by radio, as well as others who were abused by their record labels, are greedily looking at the radio industry for a new payday. The labels have abused the artists for decades. Now, they want to abuse us,” said NABPAC chair Larry Patrick. The cash will be used to press the battle on Capitol Hill.
