Napoleon set to conquer another station

Jhonson Napoleon has one AM station in Florida and a deal to buy another one in Massachusetts. Now he has a second deal on the stove that will add to his Florida collection.

The current deal is for WJBW-AM Jupiter FL, which serves the West Palm Beach market. Napoleon’s Azure Media LLC will pay $305K for the station, including a $25K escrow deposit with the rest due at closing.

The seller is Jupiter Planet Radio LLC, managed by Robert McAllan.

WJBW is a Class D outlet on 650 kHz. It’s 650 W-D give it decent coverage of West Palm, but at night it drops to 17 Watts and is pretty much restricted to being a Jupiter station. Jupiter is located to the north of West Palm.

Azure already owns WFHT-AM Avon Park FL, just north of the Florida interior community of Sebring. It also has a $250K deal to acquire WXBR-AM Brockton MA from Businesstalkradio.net – that station serves the area to the south of Boston.
